The Tenth Annual Pet Photo Contest “Raining Cats and Dogs” begins June 19th and ends July 28th 2017 with prizes awarded on Saturday July 29th at 10 A.M., at Collectors’ Gallery & Framery.
Entry is FREE.
Voting is a 10 cent per vote donation to the Humane Society. Encourage your friends to come in and vote for your BFF.
Submit your favorite pet photo doing what he or she does best with a brief description. The Winner in number of votes will be framed by Collectors’ Gallery & Framery, Second Place wins a PAWCASSO* session at Still Point Studio and Third Place receives a gift certificate from Animal Alley.
Submit your entry to islandframer@daystar.net with “Raining Cats & Dogs” in the subject line. Please send your photo in .gif or .jpeg files only.
By submitting your photo, you will be giving us permission to publish and hang in the window for all to see. Photos may be picked up after July 29th by stopping by the gallery at 114 Nokomis Avenue S in downtown Venice, Florida.

At 5.5 years old Archie was chased away from a woman’s garbage can with a broom and she called the Hot Springs shelter where
Tanette found him. He is a fierce and loyal companion to whom Tanette is devoted.

This is Sophia. She’s a happy 10 year old Miniature Schnauzer that resides on the Island in Golden Beach. She enjoys spending time relaxing on her sailing yacht in exotic ports of call.

Hazel and Pablo are best friends who love to pose for photos. Pablo believes that he is 6 foot tall and fearsome while Hazel could care less about his attributes and antics, but she does still enjoy a good wrestling match. They both do a superb job of protecting our family from the Island rabbits.

This is our dog, Gunner. He is an 8 year old yellow lab mix that we rescued when he was about a year and a half old. Gunner loves to chase the ball but don’t always expect him to bring it back to you!
Bootsie is 7 years old we adopted her at 2. She is a very loving cat and always wants to be held and cuddle like a baby.
Finley is a one year old Shetland Sheepdog who loves to welcome everyone to her Florida home!
