*….. There have been neither limits nor boundaries ……*
Tenold is many things, including Karen’s husband. Together these two remarkable people have forged an enduring, fertile and inspiring partnership. When they departed Southern California for the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range 37 years ago, they started a new life in a relative isolation that has allowed them to respond to and express themselves in many forms—and it isn’t just about art. They designed and built a home and life that nurtures their individual and collective passion for beauty and breathes vitality into their interests in food, gardening, film, and the sharing of friendship with others.
Living as they do has allowed Tenold, the artist, to fuel his creative drive and produce a deep body of work in pastels, glass, sculpture, design of homes and boats, and more than a few restorations of classic machines, including a 1958 Jaguar XK 150 convertable and a 1940 Packard sedan converted into a “Woodie”.
